What can NJASP do for you?
Professional development:
Free consultation on professional matters. NJASP has a wide range of members who consult on various matters. This includes members with over 30 years' of experience as school psychologists, directors, clinicians in private practice, professors, and authors including a co-author of NASP's professional standards.
Current information on proposed changes to legislation via:
Legislative Action: Representation with legislators to advocate for children, and to promote and expand the roles of school psychologists, as well as develop regulations which ensure good educational programs that meet the needs of all learners. Networking
Participation in board meetings: As a member you are invited to attend board meetings. Attending a board meeting is a great way to find out what is happening at the state level as well as to gather information on what NJASP is doing for you on both state and local levels. If you would like to attend a board meeting check out our upcoming events on our Home page. Board meetings are general the second Thursday of the month.

How to get the most from your membership?
Participate on a committee: Be a change agent and participate on one of NJASP's committees covering a wide range of interests. Volunteer as much time as you want, there are no minimal time commitments.
Become a representative for your region
Attend a conference and/or a regional workshop
Write an article for the newsletter: Have an interesting perspective or experience or just like to write, consider writing an article for the quarterly newsletter.
