The Frank J. Epifanio Minority Graduate Student Scholarship is given to encourage and support a minority student’s graduate education in school psychology. This award is given to a minority graduate student who has demonstrated, by virtue of academic excellence, community efforts and involvement in professional organizations related to school psychology, the intent to become a school psychologist. This $1000.00 award is provided through funds raised specifically for the Frank J. Epifanio Minority Graduate Student Scholarship. It is provided for educational purposes only and the recipient must be attending a school psychology graduate program in New Jersey. Nominations must be submitted by April 9, 2018.
The Sol B. Heckelman Minority Student Scholarship is given to encourage and support minority students interested in furthering their education in a mental health field. This award is given to a minority undergraduate student who has demonstrated, by virtue of academic excellence and community volunteer efforts, a promise to pursue a career in the field of school psychology. This $1000.00 award is provided for educational purposes only and the recipient must be enrolled in an undergraduate psychology program at a college or university within New Jersey.

NJASP’s Awards Committee will review the applications and make a selection based on the materials received. Award winners will be announced at the Spring Conference on May 11, 2018. An NJASP representative will contact all Nominators by April 6, 2018. The Nominator agrees to coordinate the winner’s attendance at the awards ceremony, which will take place during the spring conference.
